  • Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honour and comfort me once more.  Psalms 71:20-21

  • Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet will l rejoice in the Lord, l will be joyful in God my Savior. Habakkuk 3:17-18

  • King Nebuchadnezzar said to them, " Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the image of gold I have set up? Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image l made, very good. But if you do not worship the image I made, you will be thrown immediately into the blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand. They replied to him, " King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty's hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up." Daniel 3:14-18

After Job had prayed for his friend, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before… The Lord blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the former part.....Job lived a hundred and forty years; he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation… .And so Job died, an old man full of years. Job 13:15-16; 19:25-27;42:10,12, 16-17
